About NexaYouth Service

NexaYouth Service was created after NexaYouth's summer program served over 500 students, many of whom joined because they needed service hours required by their high schools. Through that experience, NexaYouth realized that many students want to serve their communities, but they need more flexible options.

Students face real barriers: busy school schedules, athletic commitments, jobs, family responsibilities, lack of transportation, and limited local volunteer opportunities. Traditional volunteering often requires long-term commitments or weekday availability that simply doesn't work for many high schoolers.

NexaYouth Service solves this by giving students structured online projects that still create real impact. Whether a student is writing letters to support environmental causes, creating educational materials for younger students, or researching public service resources — every task contributes to meaningful community outcomes.

NexaYouth Service is connected to the larger mission of NexaYouth: helping young people become informed, engaged, and active members of their communities.

As NexaYouth Service continues to grow, students can also access select projects created for participating nonprofit organizations. These Partner Projects allow students to contribute directly to organizations addressing real community needs. For eligible Partner Projects, the organization receiving the student's work reviews the final submission and confirms successful completion.
